Pizza

In America, most people tend to purchase their food throughout the week at a fast food place or restaurant. Pizza is a typical meal to eat in the United States. It contains bread with cheese and other ingredients on top. Some people prefer to have small pieces of grilled meat and others prefer to have pineapple on top. Pizza is made in the oven with high temperatures. It originated from Italy. After the pizza came to United States, it very slowly rose in popularity among the local population. In an article called, “Pizza History“, it mentioned, “Although pizza was popularized by the numerous Italian settlers and celebrities, the true sudden boom of interest came after the end of the World War 2 and the arrival of hungry soldiers from the European fronts”(2019). Soon, big pizza restaurant franchises were founded and pizza started spreading across entire world. Now consumers can enjoy a delicious meal with different combinations of crust, toppings and sauces.

When I was six years old, I fell in love with pizza every since I tried it. My favorite type of pizza is stuffed crust and with pieces of meats on top. My parents would buy pizza on the weekends and during celebrations among family members. As I grew older, I prefer to eat Mexican dishes on celebrations or birthday parties.
