The holidays that are celebrated in the United States are Halloween, Thanksgiving, Martin Luther King Day, and many more. Halloween is celebrated on October 31st. During Halloween, children dress up in customs and knock on stranger’s houses to receive candy. Another holiday in the United States is Thanksgiving, and it is celebrated on November 28th. In the 1600s the colonists and the Indians shared a feast and made amends with each other. Martin Luther King Day is celebrated on January 20th. Dr. King was a civil spokesman in the civil rights movement. He shed light on the injustices of African Americans who face discrimination in the United States.
