There are more holidays celebrated in Mexico than in American because they celebrate “santos” for every month. Santo is a religious person who made a difference on Earth and was chosen by God. For example, St. Joseph is celebrated on 19th and he is the father of Jesus Christ. Many places and churches all over the world are named after St. Joseph, including the Spanish form, San Jose, which is the most commonly named place in the world. Other holidays celebrated in Mexico is Día de los Muertos, Independence Day, and the Virgin Mary.
